Katie McGregor Stone is a literary critic and researcher of science fiction, utopias, and the cultural politics of gender. Katie's work explores how speculative fiction reimagines what it means to be human. She has published work on vampires, cyborgs, and strange children, exploring how imagining the world differently can help us to challenge dominant, oppressive power structures. Katie is a co-founder of the Beyond Gender research collective and creator of the Welcome To… video series, making complex ideas accessible to wider audiences through public scholarship and collaborative learning.
